Economic profile:

This grape variety has a very early ripening period. In the Kyiv region of Ukraine, it ripens in early August. The flower is bisexual. The 'Arktika' variety pollinates very well, and there is no berry shot-berrying.

The berries are medium-sized, round, and red, weighing 6–8 grams. The flesh is firm, and the skin is imperceptible. The seeds are medium-sized, with 2–3 per berry. The flavor is harmonious, featuring a subtle muscat note. The grape offers a good balance of sugar and acidity; the juice has a sugar content of 19–21% and low acidity. The muscat flavor is not long-lasting.

The clusters are of medium density or loose, weighing 400–600 grams on the seedling. The 'Arktyka' grape variety has moderate vigor; it is advisable to grow it on a rootstock. Fertility is 2.0 clusters per shoot.

The vine matures early, well before the berries ripen. Disease resistance is high: susceptibility to downy mildew and powdery mildew is rated at approximately 2.5–3.0. With three preventive treatments using systemic fungicides, the vines remain disease-free until the end of the season. Frost resistance is currently being evaluated, though based on the parent varieties, it is estimated at -28°C to -30°C.с.

Its ability to produce lateral shoots (suckers) is low. The shoots mature very well and early. Pruning of fruiting canes is either medium (6–8 buds) or short (3–4 buds). The 'Arktika' grape variety holds up well on the vine without damage or cracking; while it accumulates up to 21% sugar, the muscat flavor is lost.
