Ganymede
Ganymede: Sever (Gift to Zaporozhye x Kishmish black winter-hardy) x Jupiter, (374-19) - a form of grapes of early or early-middle ripening period. Ripening begins on August 20-25. Full ripening in the conditions of the Kyiv region occurs on September 5-10. The flower is bisexual, pollinated very well.
The bunches are loose, weighing 600-800 grams. The berries are large, round or oval, red-violet, weighing 6-8 grams. The pulp is dense, crispy. The taste of the berries is harmonious. The sugar content is high, 20-22%. The berries are well stored on the bush without damage.
The growth force of the grape form is high, the fruitfulness is 2 bunches per shoot. The vine ripens early. Resistance to diseases is increased, at the level of 2.5 - 3.0 points. Three treatments against diseases and pests are enough.
Frost resistance according to the parent combination -27, -28 gr.s. It is necessary to check in natural conditions and laboratory studies. The Ganymede grape form is being tested in the own-rooted version and on different rootstocks.
