Tetiana

Тetiana: Albina x Carbonado (343-22) is a grape variety with an early to early-mid-season ripening period. Ripening begins on August 25, with full maturity reached between September 1 and 5 in the Kyiv region, depending on the vine's crop load. The flower is perfect (hermaphroditic). There is no berry shot-berrying (millerandage).

The clusters are large and loose, weighing 600–800 grams. The berries are medium-sized, oval, and black-purple, weighing 6–8 grams. The flesh is firm and crisp, with a harmonious flavor. Sugar content is high (19–21%), while acidity is low. The berries store well on the bush without damage, retaining their consumer qualities. The vine’s vigor is moderate to above-average, with a fruiting capacity of two clusters per shoot. Cane maturation occurs early. Disease resistance is high, rated at 2.5–3.0 points; three treatments against diseases and pests are sufficient.

Cold hardiness: –27 to –28°C. The Tatyana grape variety has been grown without winter covering since 2022. It withstood the 2025–2026 winter—characterized by temperatures of –26 to –27°C and severe glaze ice—without sustaining damage.

This description is based on the results of three fruiting seasons on seedling rootstock. When grown on its own roots using proper cultivation practices, the commercial quality of the grapes improves significantly. Testing and observation are ongoing under conditions where the vines are not covered for winter.
