Galinka

 

Galinka: Kuzma ((Gift to Zaporozhye x Kishmish black winter-hardy) x Amur black No. 8, (310-20)) is a form of grapes of early-mid ripening period. Ripening begins on September 1-5. Full ripening in the conditions of the Kyiv region occurs on September 10-15. The flower is of a functionally female type, pollinated well.

The bunches are loose, weighing 600-800 grams. The berries are large, oval, yellow-green, weighing 7-9 g. The pulp is dense, crispy. The taste of the berries is harmonious. The sugar content is high, 18-20%. The berries are well preserved on the bush without damage.

The growth force of the grape form is high, the fruitfulness is 2-3 bunches per shoot. The vine ripens early. Resistance to diseases is increased, at the level of 2.5 - 3.0 points. Three treatments against diseases and pests are enough.

Frost resistance according to the parent combination is approximately -28, -30 gr.s. Should be checked in natural conditions and laboratory studies. Grapes Galinka are grown without shelter for the winter from 2020 from birth.

The Galinka grape variety is being tested in its own rootstock variant and on different rootstocks. The description is based on the results of three fruitings, and will be supplemented in the future.
